Louis Michael Seig

Louis (Lou) Michael Seig, 73, of Shelley, Idaho, passed away on April 7, 2026, surrounded by his family and loved ones. 

Louis was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, to Louis and Marion (Hathaway) Seig. He proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Springfield and USS Littlerock. He worked for many years as a corporate district manager before retiring in 2018.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents. 

He is survived by his loving wife Gayle (Baber) Seig, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his daughter, Jamie Seig, of Levittown, Pennsylvania; son, Jeremy Seig and his wife, Laura, of Dallas, Texas; sister, Marie (Seig) Sowinski and her husband, Matthew, of Azle, Texas; stepson Patrick Delaney, of Phoenix, Arizona; stepson Christopher Delaney, of Greentown, Pennsylvania; stepdaughter, Jaclyn Murdoch, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Louis enjoyed woodworking, fly fishing and playing the guitar.

A celebration of life is planned for a later date.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Nalder Funeral Home.
