Marcia Leora Lundquist, 100, of Shelley passed away February 4, 2015 at the Teton Post-Acute Care and Rehabilitation center in Idaho Falls.
Leora was born November 1, 1914, in Iona, ID, to Clarence Allen and Cora Waters. They lived in a two room cabin until her mother died, when Leora was only 11 years old. Leora Married Charles Moroni Lundquist on December 14, 1931.
Leora and Moroni both loved to fish and camp, and every chance they got, they would load up whichever camper that they happen to have at that time to use for the weekend and head off to Coffee Pot, in Island Park, with Francis, Raeseal, Leon, and Janice.
Aunt Marsh helped her with her first quilt which was a nine patch quilt. From that first quilt she found her true calling in life, and ended up doing close to 500 quilts during her life. She even got her picture in the Shelley Pioneer for her beautiful quilting work.
She is survived by 1 of 4 children: Leon (Janice) Lundquist of St. Anthony, and a daughter-in-law Raeseal Lundquist of Shelley as well as 7 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband Charles Moroni and her sons Francis, Eugene, and Dale.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 7 at 11 am at the Taylor Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home in Shelley.
