Mark Howard Mccabe

Mark Howard McCabe, 58, of Shelley passed away on May 7, 2017 in Idaho Falls.

He was born on July 22, 1958 to Howard and Arlene McCabe. He graduated from Bonneville High School in 1977 after which he attended Idaho State University.

In 1985 he met and married Lori Ann Christiansen in Pocatello, Idaho. They have resided in Pocatello, Blackfoot, and Idaho Falls, before moving to Shelley in 1990.

Mark worked for his dad, in the McCabe Brothers’ Drilling Company. They traveled and worked in many different states. He later purchased the Titan Mini Pivot business. Which he ran until the time of his death.

Mark enjoyed fishing, camping, horseback riding, snowmobiling, and anything with an engine which he could make go fast and furious.

He is survived by his wife, Lori McCabe of Shelley: mother and step-father, Arlene (Tony) Riding of Idaho Falls: sister, Wendy (Kip) Michaelis of Layton, Utah: brothers, Todd McCabe of Idaho Falls: Mikeal (Veronica) McCabe of Rigby: and step-brothers, Steven (Gaye) Riding of Rexburg: Walton Riding of Kemmerer, Wyoming and his many nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved dearly.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Howard, sister, Mary Anne, both sets of grandparents and his favorite Aunt Marlene.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Taylor Ward Chapel, 1101 East 1250 North, Shelley. The family will meet with friends Friday evening from 6:00 till 7:30 p.m. at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 W Oak Street in Shelley and Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery.
