Michelle Campbell was born to Dennis and Irene Campbell on March 11, 1977 in Blackfoot, Idaho. Her older brothers, Spencer and Jeff, loved her and delighted in teasing her and getting her fired up, then apologizing with hugs. Three years later the family was blessed with her baby sister, Tammy, and the two sisters had a beautiful relationship. The Rett Syndrome she was born with brought challenges, but her parents’ love for her was evident in all they did for her as she grew.
Michelle enjoyed being home and surrounded by her family. She was ecstatic when a quarterback got sacked in a game, spent hours watching movies (of her choosing, don’t go thinking you have any say in the matter), loved listening to music (especially Mountain Music by Alabama), and laughed every time someone sneezed. You would have thought everyone who entered the Campbell home had year-round allergies, because we all pretended to sneeze regularly just to hear her laugh. She would ride the merry-go-round over and over and over, and thought trains were the best!
Michelle loved people, and they loved her back. Her lively pleasure at seeing the people she adored was a joy to behold and even better to be on the receiving end of. As her siblings got married, and the family grew with nieces and nephews, she was thrilled to have them all around, and they doted on Aunt Michelle. She happily gained an unofficial sister, Malika, when they hosted an exchange student. Malika has stayed in touch and her family has also become part of the Campbell Clan.
Michelle returned to her Heavenly Home on September 23, 2025. We will miss her light here on Earth, but know she is surrounded by loved ones and find comfort in the fact that she is finally free of the constraints of her physical body.
She was preceded in death by her oldest brother, Brian Campbell, and her sister, Tammy Browning.
She is survived by her parents, Dennis and Irene Campbell; her brothers, Spencer (Kristen) Campbell and Jeff (Mandy) Campbell; her brother-in-law, Stephen Browning; 15 nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
