Carl Phillip Waggoner passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 65 on September 14, 2025.
He was born January 26, 1960 to parents Carl and Joyce Waggoner. “Phil” was an avid hunter and outdoorsman in his earlier youth and also shared a love of movies, music, guns, and his family.
One of his favorite pastimes included weekend movie marathons while playing endless games of Uno and Monopoly with his stubborn and competitive children or going out to shoot targets.
Phil graduated from Idaho Falls Highschool with the class of 1978. He worked a few jobs in his life before he settled down and created a career for himself at the City of Idaho Falls Waste Water Treatment Plant in 2008 before retiring in January of 2025.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents as well as his younger brother, Walter Wayne Waggoner.
Phil is survived by his sisters, Lora (Jeanette) Longhurst and Faye (Brent) Olsen, as well as his three children, Dillon Waggoner, Miranda (Garrett) Whitehead, Lauren (Jonah) Sawyer, his grandson Liam Sanchez as well as many nieces and nephews.
Though he will be missed, we know he was welcomed with open arms by his parents, brother, and heavenly father.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 22, 2025 at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 W Oak Street. The family will receive friends Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. till 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Cache Clawson Cemetery in Tetonia.
