Roger Hadley, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, at the age of 79. Roger was surrounded by his loving family and he left this world the same way he lived his life: with love, grace, and decency.
Born on August 15, 1946, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Roger was the cherished son of Edward Hadley and Lillian Baker Hadley. He grew up in a family that valued hard work and integrity, principles that Roger upheld throughout his life. He was predeceased by his parents, and siblings Edward Hadley Jr., Steven Hadley, Judy Hadley Rojas, and Peggy Hadley Moffatt.
A proud alumnus of Idaho Falls High School, Roger graduated in 1964. Shortly thereafter, he answered the call to serve his country, joining the United States Air Force. From 1965 to 1969, he served on active duty, and then continued his service in the Air Force Reserves until 1971. Roger was honorably discharged with the rank of Airman First Class, a testament to his dedication and commitment.
Roger's career spanned several decades in farming, ranching, logistics, and construction. His work ethic was unparalleled, and he took pride in every task he undertook. Known for his intelligence, quick wit, and humor, Roger was a no-nonsense individual who possessed a kind and thoughtful nature. He valued honesty and good character, qualities he instilled in his children and grandchildren.
Outside of his professional life, Roger was an avid outdoorsman. He found immense joy in camping and off-road trail riding, often accompanied by his family. His love for the great outdoors was only rivaled by his love for his family, with whom he cherished spending every possible moment.
Roger is survived by his devoted wife, Judy Hadley, who stood by his side for many years. Together, they blended a loving family that includes his son, David Hadley, daughters Kirsten McAllister, Brandie Larsen, and Jennifer Dula, as well as his step-children, Toni and Ray Saunders. He is survived by his siblings Douglas Hadley, Carol Drouin, and Kevin Hadley. Roger was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, who brought him boundless joy and happiness.
Roger's life was a testament to the values he held dear, and his legacy will live on through the lives of those he touched. In keeping with his wishes, a private celebration of life will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made in Roger's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting his lifelong love of the outdoors, animal welfare, and belief in the greater good.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home.
