Sherrian Crapo

October 20, 1942 — March 10, 2024

Firth

Sherrian Crapo, 81, of Firth, Idaho, passed away on March 10, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with cancer.

Sherrian was born on October 20, 1942 to Jack Conrad Allen and Belva Marie Jeffs in St. Anthony, Idaho. After Belva and Jack divorced, Belva met and married Charles Walter Morby, who later adopted Sherrian.

Sherrian started attending school in St. Anthony, but she changed schools many times throughout her school years because of her father’s employment. She graduated from South Gate High School in California.

Sherrian and Gordon Crapo were married on May 3, 1969 in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls, Idaho temple. Together they raised four children: Kim, Kevin, Kristie, and Kody.

Sherrian held several occupations throughout her life. She cleaned houses and apartments, provided child care services in her home, worked at French’s and Pillsbury, provided in-home care, and drove for a special-needs transportation company. In her later years, she and Gordon became a certified family home and cared for people in their home, which they continued to do until after Sherrian was diagnosed with cancer.

Sherrian had many diverse interests. She loved to be outside and enjoyed gardening, milking goats, camping, and fishing. She took delight in preserving the produce grown in her garden and orchard. She was passionate about fiber arts and was skilled at dyeing and spinning wool, crocheting, quilting, and needle felting. She was also an accomplished seamstress. She used her skills to make beautiful dresses, blankets, and hats for her loved ones. She enjoyed just about any crafting hobby, and many of the projects she entered into the state fair won ribbons.

Sherrian was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She felt most at home in the primary, and she spent many years lovingly teaching the primary children. She had a strong testimony of the gospel and of the Savior. She enjoyed church history, and was an avid reader of church literature.

Sherrian is survived by her husband, Gordon Crapo, of Firth; children, Kim Noreen (Bart Muir) of Ucon, Kevin Crapo (Tarmi) of Glendale, Oregon, Kristie Barnard (Ralph) of Oakley, Idaho, Kody Crapo (Amber) of Firth; 20 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren, with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Rex Noreen; and brother, Blair Jeffs.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the Kimball Ward Chapel, 744 North 600 East, Firth, Idaho. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 9:30 till 10:45 A.M. at the church. Interment will be at 2:30 P.M. in the Parker Cemetery.

Sherri will forever remain in our hearts and memories. She will be dearly missed.
