Vicki Lyn Wright Cox passed away on May 27, 2025, at Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls after a brief illness.
She was born August 21, 1951 in Idaho Falls to Donald and Lalia Wright and grew up in Shelley. Vicki met Merrill Cox in June of 1969 and they were sealed for eternity on April 3, 1970 in the Idaho Falls Temple.

Anyone who ever met Vicki could instantly see the brightness in her eyes and the kindness in her beautiful smile. She made genuine friends very easily. Vicky truly believed in family and getting together often. She made sure to check on family members regularly and helped in any way she could. One of her hobbies included genealogy where she spent much time gathering and sharing family records, as well as assisting others.
Vicki served in many callings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, including Family History Consultant, Primary President, Young Women’s President, and pianist. She taught piano for many years and loved encouraging others to play while she enjoyed their talent. One of her favorite things was listening to her nephew, Barry, play the Boogie Woogie.
In addition to being a loving mother, Vicki worked hard in the family business, Cox’s Honey. Being allergic to bee stings didn’t stop her willingness to be useful. She was able to combine her love of music and earn an income when she worked at MusiCare in Idaho Falls where she became good friends with the Sevy’s.
Vicki will be missed dearly by all who knew her, especially her grandchildren whom she loved unconditionally.
